Biography
Marcus Trescothick is a talented batsman for Somerset in the County Championships. He retired from international cricket in May 2008, having been a mainstay in the team since 2000, because he wanted to spend more time with his family. His career for England spanned some 76 Tests and 123 ODIs. As oneof the more senior members of the squad, he captained the side for 2 Tests, with notable successes. He continues to be a batting force for Somerset, and regularly notches up centuries.
